The collaborative project “ AddESun ” aiming to safeguard the future of lead-acid batteries was launched in September 2017. The list of project goals includes a more sustainable production, improved charging behavior, longer service life and higher power density.
[pdf] Thurrock Storage, the UK’s largest battery energy storage system (BESS) developed by Statera Energy is now energised and delivering electricity to the grid. This landmark 300MW battery storage site is capable of powering up to 680,000 homes with instantaneous power over two hours.
[pdf] The project, considered the world's largest solar-storage project, will install 3.5GW of solar photovoltaic capacity and a 4.5GWh battery storage system. The project has commenced in November 2024.
