Chile Energy Minister Diego Pardow was present at the inauguration of the 200 MW/800 MWh BESS del Desierto, a project its developers describe as the first large-scale standalone energy storage plant in Latin America.
[pdf] CVC DIF has agreed to acquire a utility-scale hybrid PV-BESS energy project in Chile from Grenergy The project is currently under construction in Northern Chile and comprises 272 MW of installed solar PV capacity and 1,100 MWh of battery storage.
