Huawei Digital Power has announced the signing of a key contract with SEPCOIII for its NEOM Red Sea project, which involves 400 MW of PV plus a 1300 MWh battery energy storage solution (BESS), currently the world’s largest energy storage project.
[pdf] Dutch startup Ore Energy has connected its iron-air battery to the grid in Delft, the Netherlands. The company announced the system is the first of its kind to be fully operational and grid-connected in the world, while also being the first fully-built in the European Union.
