Belmopan, Belize, March 17, 2025 - IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, is supporting the Government of Belize in attracting a private investor to build a utility-scale solar plant aimed at improving the country’s energy security and affordability for about 20,000 households while also boosting business competitiveness.
[pdf] Algerian company, Zergoun Green Energy (ZEG), has launched a solar PV module manufacturing factory in Ouargla, in the homonymous province of southern Algeria. The facility will have a solar module production capacity of 180 MW annually.
[pdf] The Troumassee Solar Farm, expected to be completed by November 2025, is a major component of Saint Lucia’s renewable energy strategy. The project will feature 25 megawatts (MW) of solar photovoltaic (PV) technology along with 50 megawatt-hours (MWh) of battery energy storage.
